Molecular Heterogeneity and Evolution in Breast Cancer

چکیده
Breast cancer comprises a heterogeneous group of tumor subtypes, whether defined by immunohistochemistry key proteins, RNA expression profiles, or genetic alterations, and each these subtypes may benefit from distinct treatment approach. However, there can be striking heterogeneity within tumors, which pose challenges to the development personalized approaches therapy. Intratumor divided into three main categories: genetic, phenotypic, microenvironmental. Here, we review technologies interrogate categories in patient samples, as well current state understanding breast cancer, cell cell, across different regions same mass, treatment, metastasis. Efforts characterize longitudinally will crucial oncology for cancer.

Molecular heterogeneity in adjacent cells in triple-negative breast cancer
PURPOSE This study interrogates the molecular status of individual cells in patients with triple-negative breast cancers and explores the molecular identification and characterization of these tumors to consider the exploitation of a potential-targeted therapeutic approach. PATIENTS AND METHODS Hyperspectral immunologic cell by cell analysis was applied to touch imprint smears obtained from f...
متن کاملHeterogeneity in breast cancer.
Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease. There is a high degree of diversity between and within tumors as well as among cancer-bearing individuals, and all of these factors together determine the risk of disease progression and therapeutic resistance. Advances in technologies such as whole-genome sequencing and functional viability screens now allow us to analyze tumors at unprecedented depths...
متن کاملHeterogeneity in Breast cancer
Breast cancer is malignant tumor occurred on breast epithelial tissue, although the mortality rate of breast cancer decreases, it remains one of the highest mortality rate diseases. Ignoring few exceptions, almost all tumors are derived from one single cancer cell. However, in clinical diagnosis, most human tumors demonstrate amazing heterogeneity in many morphological and physical characterist...
متن کاملMolecular mechanisms involved in multidrug resistance in breast cancer therapy
Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in women. Chemotherapy is the main strategy in the treatment of this disease especially in the advanced form of the disease. Despite the recent progress in the development of new chemotherapy, the effectiveness of these drugs has dramatically reduced due to multidrug resistance. The phenotype of multidrug resistance (MDR) can occur through different me...
متن کاملMolecular heterogeneity of inflammatory breast cancer: a hyperproliferative phenotype.
PURPOSE Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is associated with very poor prognosis. The aims of this study are (a) to prospectively identify differential gene expression patterns associated with IBC and (b) to confirm these pathways using tissue arrays. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN For gene expression analysis, IBC (n=14) was clinically defined as rapid-onset cancer associated with erythema and skin chan...
